An actual feedback system is now in place for giving and receiving feedback for buys/sales and trades. This includes ingame trades for items and plat, account trades and account sales/buys. Ingame currency/item sales for RL cash are not allowed on these forums, just a reminder

Our new system is very similar to the eBay system for giving feedback. After a trade/sale is complete, you can leave feedback on the person's profile and that will show under their username (see mine on the left) and in more detail on a feedback tab on their profile page. This should allow for a more trackable, searchable and helpful system for trades and sales.

To leave feedback for someone:

• Open their profile page (i.e.: http://www.postcount.net/forum/member.php?8-beibhinn ) and browse to the Feedback Score tab beside Visitor Messages.
• From this page, you can see their current and past feedback ratings.
• Click on View Complete Feedbacks for [username] to view their rating history which will show you who left the feedback and a short comment on the deal.
• Click on Submit Feedback for [username] to leave feedback
• On this page, select if you were the buyer, seller or if it was a trade.
• Select the Feedback Experience: positive, neutral or negative.
• Paste the thread link for the deal, this is a requirement and must be a postcount forum thread only, not outside site.
• Enter a short comment that will be visible to everyone on the board who views this person's feedback history. There is a minimum character requirement of 20 and max of 80.
• Enter a more detailed comment that only the buyer/seller sees.
• Submit and done!

There are some rules!!!

• Anyone found to be entering feedback for themselves (through their own account or an alt), will receive a warning and the feedback deleted. Continuing to do so will result in a ban of no less than 48 hours, which will also be extended as needed.
• Negative feedback alert the admins/mods and be checked if it's an actual feedback or spam/troll
• Spam feedback and abuse of the feedback system will result in bans.
• Feedback rep will be important so don't abuse or mess with it. I can set this on/off per BOARD so if it's being abused and screwed with, I will turn it off for your board. This is to help and benefit the community, don't ruin it.
• This is not like the rep system which can be abused, so just don't.

You can access an overall feedback page through the Community drop down menu on the navigation bar at the top of the board - select Feedback ( http://www.postcount.net/forum/itrader_main.php? )
And I've set some limitations and settings, which may change depending on what you guys think and how it's going overall.

• There will be a limit of 24 hours between when you can rate the same person.
• There is a 20 minimum characters for comments
• There is an edit time of 10 minutes
• Posters have 7 days to return rating for whatever VALID reason
• Anyone with ratings upto 5 (1 rate per feedback, if you get me) will be considered by the system to be a "New Trader"
• Maximum amount of ratings a new trader can give in 24 hours is 3 per day
• A thread link is required for reference, feedback cannot be entered without a thread link to back up the trade/sale from THIS forum (postcount itself, any board)
• Admins/mods will be alerted to all negative ratings to ensure they're actual and not spam/fake/trolling
• Posters will be PM'd when there is a new rating, positive, neutral or negative
• The person who left the rating gets a read receipt when this PM is opened

If you want to try it out, leave feedback on my profile and/or ask me or a mod to leave feedback on yours. Do not try it out with other posters because you will forget to ask for it to be fixed!

Mention or PM me to get my attention about something. Report any bad feedback to any admin or mod directly.

Something went sideways long enough to take the site down for what looks like 30 minutes or so(?). Ran some checks and got everything restarted but had to flush the mail queue to clear out all the error emails that were trying to get sent to me. That means odds are good that if something happened that would normally get you an email (PMs, email verification, post notification, etc) for around when the forums had problems odds are it didn't make it out. Everything should be back to normal now though.

With our 1 year birthday on April 8th, the day we started and opened Postcount.net, we're thinking of the future and thanking our loyal posters.
Today sees the opening of our new general off topic chat board, the Postcount Pub, for everyone across the board to come and chat with each other. This board is subject to the ToS, so if you're popping in from any other board, please leave it at the door. This is a place to just hang out and chat, not bash each other or post porn! So please, come chat and maybe stay a while

ACF has moved down to the AC category on the boards, and this will be our main and advertised off topic chat board.

For the last year we've had great fun with this board, and you guys. The merging of VN into IGN saw the loss of a lot of communities including our own communities that we were apart of and had been for the longest time. We created these boards to give those communities, and ourselves with them, a new home. A lot of people came here, some left, but the majority stayed even up to today and don't look like we could get rid of them, if even we wanted to! We had no idea if this would work or not, but we the way we saw it, we had to try. Thankfully, it's been fantastic and surprised all of us in many ways.

Because of this, our birthday and to say thanks, next Monday the 8th on the Postcount Pub board we'll be running contests throughout the day! Take part in these giveaways for a chance to win prizes such as amazon vouchers and DAoC time codes (courtesy of Mythic, thank you!!).
These contests are for our posters to say thanks, so there will be some requirements on people part taking on the day. You can see these listed per contest so make sure to read the rules on each contest before taking part! If you're a long time active poster, just get ready to get involved
