Both servers are white-list servers. You will need to get approval and be white-listed by Sneezy or I before you can join the server to play.

This is a modpack along the lines of Tekkit or Feed the Beast and includes many of the common mods we like plus some others. It is a new mod to us so it might get a configuration tweak down the road but for now is just running on defaults. Easiest way is to use the Feed the Beast launcher and pick the Direwolf20 modpack.

It is running pretty much at defaults minus the gregtech mod since it makes everything much harder . Download the Feed the Beast launcher and disable the gregtech mod in settings then hit launch... that easy. If you forget to disable gregtech the game will still work but some of your recipes will be wrong.

Someone we trust has to vouch for you. So an active/respected member of the forums, someone who has gamed with them or one of our players, etc. We don't take blind invites.

My direwolf20 client updated and won't let me log into the server because of mod version conflicts. Is there a way to force a version downgrade on the client?

Steel is updating the server right this instant. That should solve that problem for you people who blindly click yes on everything.

Sup guys! Long time no see I've been playing the Mindcrack FTB pack pretty hardcore lately, loving the FTB stuff now! How active is the Direwolf20 server?

Yes very and with the planned resets every month it should stay active since once everyone is built up attendance tends to fall off.

Just want to add, I'm not sure how a month is long enough for someone to take advantage of all there is to do in a modpack like FTB and that's with playing constantly. A month isn't even that long for vanilla these days IMO. To each their own though...

there is a thought to be able to keep a certain amount of things between resets, so it wont be a complete restart. Possibly an ender chest (9 items i think) per person. That would at least get away from the starting out punching wood every time.

ok so im back for a bit what we playing on and am i still whitelisted?

You are still whitelisted. We have two direwolf20 v4 shards running. Easiest way to install that is the FTB launcher. The newest shard and the one most people are playing on is on port 25566.

I know this sounds lame but how do I get into mindcrack?
I'm still searching. I even went to Guud's 'official home for all things mindcrack' that doesn't actually contain information like what mindcrack is or how to use it. That's so bizarre I'm starting to believe it's me. Maybe I'm like that lady working on the 7.5th floor in Being John Malkovich.

Not sure I think it was updated because vanilla was updated. It popped up when FTB first opened and I mistakenly chose yes It said something about creating a backup but I haven't been able to find it

All the back up does is makes a back up of your config files, not that helps you really
